Pooja mam began her career as a journalist and media professional — covering education, careers, and the often-ignored realities of college admissions in Mumbai. What she saw frustrated her: students making life-altering decisions based on rumours, outdated information, and the advice of people who'd never actually navigated the system.

So she built Media Mentor. Not as a business first — but as a resource she wished had existed when she was figuring out her own path.

"Students don't need more noise. They need one person who'll tell them the truth, help them make a plan, and stay with them till they get there."

Today, Pooja mam has guided over 10,000 students across Maharashtra and the NRI community — through 1-on-1 sessions, crash courses, and content that cuts through the noise.

Our story

Why we exist

Mumbai's students were navigating one of the most competitive college admission landscapes in India — and doing it with terrible information. Cut-offs were wrong, entrance exam strategies were guesswork, and NRI families had virtually no support.

Media Mentor was founded to fix that. We started with a simple Instagram account sharing honest, accurate admission information. Students responded immediately — because they'd never seen anything like it.

From those early posts grew a full platform: crash courses, 1-on-1 counselling, GK books, mock tests, and personalised guidance for every entrance exam that matters in Maharashtra. Today we reach millions of students monthly and have helped over 10,000 find their path.

We're still the same thing we were at the start — a student's most honest friend in the admissions process.
