Mumbai University Pre-Registration 2025: Step-by-Step Guide
Mumbai University has officially started the pre-registration process for the academic year 2025. Whether you’re applying for undergraduate, postgraduate, or any affiliated course, filling out the pre-enrollment form is mandatory. Here’s a detailed breakdown of the process to help you register smoothly.
Who Needs to Apply?
The pre-enrollment form is compulsory for:
· Students applying after 12th grade.
· Applicants to autonomous, non-autonomous, aided, unaided, engineering, and management courses affiliated with Mumbai University.
Step-by-Step Registration Process
Step 1: Visit the Official Website
· Go to https://muugadmission.samarth.edu.in/
· Click on “New Registration”.
Step 2: Create an Account
· Fill in your details (name, email, mobile number, etc.).
· An OTP will be sent to your registered email and phone.
· Enter the OTP and captcha to verify your account.
Step 3: Login and Create Profile
· After account verification, log in using your credentials.
You will now complete two steps:
- Profile Creation
- Program Application (once courses open)- it will open after 12th board results.
Profile Details to Fill:
· Personal Details: Name, gender, religion, place of birth, etc.
· Category Details: General, OBC, SC, ST, etc.
· Contact Information and Emergency contact number.
· Family Details: Parent names, their numbers and combined family income.
QUOTAS YOU CAN APPLY:
· Person with Benchmark Disabilities(PwBD) Category.
· Sports quota
· Cultural activities
· Dependents of freedom fighters, ex-servicemen, children/widows of armed forces Personnel, Prime Minister’s Special Scholarship Scheme for J&K students, etc.
· Kashmir migrant status (if applicable) and child of Central/Govt transferred employee.
Address and Other Personal Information
· Enter your complete address, city, state, and district.
· Save and proceed.
· ABC ID (Aadhaar-Based Academic Bank of Credits ID):
Login to Digilocker using your Aadhaar to create/link your ABC ID.
OTHER DETAILS:
1.Requirement of continuous emergency medical attention or any illness.
2.NCC Certificate
3.National Service Scheme(NSS) Camp
4.Ward of University Employee( Father/ Mother working in University of Mumbai)
5.Area you belong (Urban/Rural/Semi-Urban/Metropolitan Area)
LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY(READING/WRITING/SPEAKING)
UPLOADS:
1.Photo(Applicant’s)
2.Signature(Applicant’s)
Final Steps
- Preview and Submit: After completing all fields, preview your form to verify the information.
2. Submit the form and note your registration number.
Program Selection
Once the university opens the course-specific forms, you can:
- Log in to the same portal
- Select your desired course/program
- Complete course-specific registration
- Once you complete the course selection process, a pre-enrollment form will be generated. Download the pre-enrollment form, which will include the application id or reference number. Which will be further utilized in individual college application process.
Important Notes
· Don’t Panic: The pre-registration portal will remain open for some time.
· Use a working phone number and email ID for all communication.
· Keep all documents ready, especially scanned photos and signatures in the correct format.
